Biography
Cynthia Esteban, NP, MSN, MPH, is a pediatric nurse practitioner who specializes in allergies and immunology.
She earned her RN degree followed by a master of science degree in nursing at Yale University School of Nursing in New Haven, Connecticut. She concurrently received a master of public health degree in global health at Yale University School of Public Health.
Esteban’s research interests focus on asthma and food allergies in children. She has made substantial contributions to the scientific literature, co-authoring many articles in peer-reviewed publications as well as numerous abstracts and a chapter in Children’s Needs III: Development, Prevention and Intervention. She has presented her research nationally and internationally.
Esteban is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Among her honors, she received a graduate student research award from the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners Foundation and the 2000 Milton and Anne Sidney Prize for research from the Yale School of Nursing.
A member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, she is an ad hoc reviewer for Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Pulmonology, a clinical journal.
