Allergy & Immunology Fellowship

Tao Zheng, MD is Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine, Professor of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology (Research), The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and Director of Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Departments of Pediatrics and Medicine.

Dr. Zheng is a staff allergist and immunologist at the Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island. She has 30 years of experience practicing in academic hospitals as a physician-scientist and a physician-educator. Before joining Brown University and Hasbro Children’s Hospital, she worked at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Yale University School of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) and she is a Fellow of the American Association of Immunologists (AAI).

Dr. Zheng is a physician-investigator with a strong translational focus on allergy, asthma, and atopic dermatitis. Her research laboratory strives to understand the molecular and immunological basis of disease progression from atopic dermatitis to asthma and food allergy. Her clinical expertise includes general allergies, asthma and food allergy, immunodeficiency, mast cell disorders, and eosinophilic disorders.
